Learned how to use custom brushes this past week. I one for the snow and the blood to give it the textured / spattered look.
I like the bottom left panel. Originally I drew it with a close up of Morris looking over his shoulder at Reims, but this kinda cowboy-holster-shot of the gore-dripping sword and Reims' leg framing the minion-less figure of Morris cradling his mangled hands (Wow that sentence got away from me fast) works a lot better.
Kat does this when we play D&D sometimes. It'll be like this
James (DM) "The crypt door opens and a mummified hand reaches out..."
Kat "Shit! I back up."
James (rolls dice) "It grabs you. Your arm goes numb and you feel an icy cold spreading through your veins."
Kat "Shit!"
James: "A stone slab slides into the doorway behind you, blocking it. The other six crypts open."
Kat: "SHITSHITSHITSHIT!"
It always makes me feel like I'm doing my job. She generally survives, but I do enjoy the admission of fear.
