Well, they can’t all be brain-in-a-jar pages. It’s important to do some exposition and set up the story sometimes.
I’m gonna try never to fall into the “page of talking heads” kind of comic. I always try and mix it up and have the characters DOING something. Adarakh uses his staff/cane as a computer / symbiotomy surgical tool container, Nerrok was cleaning a gun (back in the first few pages), Tai is holding a tablet pc or a cup of coffee. People rarely JUST talk to each other, and I never want to have the page look like a scene from “The Phantom Menace”. Not one of the good scenes. I mean like the talking scenes. Maybe they walk a bit. But they are both wearing robes, whoever it is. And they just sit there and talk and you’re like “Shouldn’t we have another pod race or something? Some droids fighting? No? Dang.”
I enjoyed the Red Letter Media review of Phantom Menace a hundred times more than I enjoyed the movie. Woulda been better without the random creepy scenes, though, imo. Doesn't need them. The evisceration of that flick was entertaining enough.
