There's an ongoing joke among Cloudies that a lot of normal humans actually think that they live in the sky - among the clouds. They don't. They live all over the world, usually in research labs or near universities or political capitals. They do, however, spend a lot of time in the Cloud.
I love this page. I had to look at it three times before I noticed the snake coming out of the beaker. I was too busy giggling at Ada's expression and the little POP sound.
First time I got to draw the Cloud. Which is something Kat and I have been talking about for a while now. Very Netrunner / Snowcrash kinda of idea. So I get to draw these two as avatars in blank net space.
Kat and I were always fans of the idea that high enough technology is indistinguishable from magic. Hence, wizards. This is not the last you’ll see of this theme. Whenever we run into an implausible idea or outlandish scenario, one of us thrust a claw-like hand skywards and scream “MAGIC!” as explanation.
