Page 14: Had a lot of back and forth on the dialogue for this one, culminating in me tracking Kat down on World of Warcraft and demanding some final lines. I throw in a line or two of dialogue every now and then (Krelle's last line on the previous page "But we will" was a last minute, un-approved add-on by me, 'cause it felt like there should be something there). But when it comes to character interplay and the nature of these characters personalities and relationships, I defer to Kat because she writes this shit. She gives me the recipe and does the groceries. I make it tasty and add a dash of sarcasm here or a dollop of inappropriate spite there. A glaze of schadenfreude. But this page was like getting a recipe that said "3 cups flour (2 cups?), 1 tablespoon salt, 2 tablespoons of an ingredient to be determined later and 1 cup of something slooshy."
That cake don't bake.
(The "but we will" line was gold. I wanted to put an extra little somethin'-somethin' on there too but couldn't decide what to add that wouldn't be too wordy. James nailed it.)
